Israel Government and Economic conditions, 1989
Israel is a parliamentary democracy. Its governmental system is based on numerous basic laws enacted by its unicameral parliament, the Knesset. The president is elected by the Knesset for a 5-year term. Likud and Labor (former leaders) formed another national unity government in January 1989. Yitzhak Shamir became Prime Minister, and Shimon Peres became Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister. On May 14, 1989, the Prime Minister and the Defense minister Rabin created a peace initiative that represented the consensus of Israel policy in the National Unity government. It consisted of 4 basic points:
• Strengthing the peace with Egypt as a regional cornerstone
• Promoting full peaceful relations with the Arab states
• Improving refugee conditions though international efforts
• Elections and interim self-rule for the Palestinian Arabs
This initiative was based on the Camp David Accords, and in turn, formed the basis of the Madrid framework for the Middle East peace negotiations.
Economic development was based on employment, agricultural activity, and small scale industrial activity. Recurrent strikes and, general and commercial, severely affected the economic situation regarding jobs.

Rubberneck-noun- to stare at somebody or something inan over-inquisitive or insensitive way.
Gory- adj-covered with blood or gore.
Matinee- a performance of a play,concert,or motion picture that is given during the day,especially in the afternoon,often with cheaper seats than the evening performance.

Convent-noun-a community of women who live a life devoted largely to religious worship.

I took my SATs yesterday. The math was hard, kinda, and the English was just grueling. 4 hours of "Julia likes to eated her food on a daily basis"

Halfway through, my neck was killing me.I took it at Reseda High School, as did Amy.Hey, you guys, the SATs are like 4 hours of taking the Stanford 9 tests!Absolute misery!I hope I did well ,but I don't know yet.We'll see.

I finished driver's training!

So, on Friday, Febraury 18, 2005,Sarina and I go to the Arrowhead Pond to the Music for RElief concert, soecifically just to see Blink 182, because after Hyundai experience of not seeing them, this time had to work.SO we leave school at lunch, go home and get ready, and as we are driving down the freeway listening to kroq , Stryker come on the radio and says..
"Well, the music for relief benefit concert is tonight.But, unnfortunately BLINK 182 CANCELLED.Sorry guys...."
I don't think there are words to describe what feelings I experienced...um, lets see, my heart ripped out of my chest and took my lungs with it....My mind switched to dream mode and I convinced myself stryker did not just say that.I must be dreaming.Because after all the crap we went through to see Blink, they had to be here this time.SO I called Kroq.Sarina was in tears, I was very quickly angered.I asked Stryker"Are you serious about Blink 182 cancelling?" and he says "Yah.We got a call at 1:30 that said blink cancelled"........Words you never want to hear
SO we are at the concert , waiting fo rthe doors to open thinkning"Well, at least we'll see the legendary Ozzy Osbourne perform." This girl walks up beside us and tells this guy "Kroq just said Ozzy cancelled"And I turned around and said"What?" SO I called Kroq, and yes, its true!Ozzy cancelled at 2:27 p.m. that day because of family emergencies.Damn Kelly and Jack being crackheads.
So then we find out we are in the line for the pit and we don't have those tickets...so we change lines and now we are 30th in line....We finally get patted down before going in (and can I tell you that every SINGLE guy that works at Arrowhead Pond is EXTREMELY HOT) and the guy accidently hits my boobs with the metal detector and says "Sorry" and looks away.I'll continue on about the concert in my next entry....With pictures, hopefully....

I met Travis Barker yesterday!
And I got autographs for me and Sarina!He is so very nice.My mom said that"He was appreciative and courteous"
When I saw him I thought"it must be someone else who is skinny and tattooed" but I looked back again and as I was walking up the stairs to the theatre , he was 10 steps behind me, and it was him!!!!!!Merry Christmas!!!By the way, I was at the Pacific theatres in the Sherman Oaks Galleria.I was like"Mom , do you have a pen?!"and she gave me one and I walked up to him nervously and said"Mr.Barker, can I have your autograph" and he said yes and i walked to my mom and she took out paper and i said"my friend(sarina) is sucha big fan.We love you guys.We went to go see you at the pavilion but we were in traffic for 4 hours and we didn't get to see you." when i mentioned the pavilion, his expression dropped, because i'm sure he had heard the news previously about the concert, and he replied with"Yah, I know.It took me 3 hours to drive back to L.A"and my mom said "Where do you live?" and he said "Down by the getty" and the whole time I was smiling so bigand she asked "What movie are you seeing ,and he said "Meet the Fockers" and i said"oh yah i heard thats supposed to be really good.".And i said "Thank You so much!!" and we went into the theatres.
I was in amazement that had just happened.The thing is , I think Blink is awesome and I'm a big fan, but I was so nervous because Sarina is such a big fan and when I saw him the first thought that popped into my mind was "Omgosh where is Sarina" and Icalled her 3 times and he was right behind me the whole time.I just can't believe that this happened.But now Sarina's got her autograph.I know it doesn't quite mean the same she didn't meet him, but until that happens, she'll have this to hold on to.
